Birds, Trees, and the Sea Breeze

In 2020, I had the opportunity to explore the Southern Oregon coast with my mother. Since leaving home in Gold Beach to study and build a family a few states away, she had never had the chance to go back and relive her childhood. It was always a dream of hers to bring my siblings and I back to the places she loved and grew up in. Finally, after over 20 years, she took us on a road trip to her hometown.

It was an amazing experience! I loved being able to both enjoy the nature around me and learn more about my mother's life growing up in a smaller town.

We spent most of our time walking, as it was still way too cold in June, along the beaches, and taking small hikes to some of the most beautiful sceneries that Oregon had to offer.

I would love to go back again if I get the chance. There was so much that we weren't able to explore with our limited time.
